Hi Simisani
ReplyDeletegreat job mate. but does govt(matimela) have a database of the animals impounded? i take it you will be tapping into a database right?
how often is this db updated?
We have developed a database that shall be updated periodically. We manage everything and all the councils need to do is to fax us the updated lists upon our request. The service shall be run by 4Site not them.

ReplyDeleteThis is a step in the right direction, but the scope of this solution focuses only on the impounded animals. My desired solution is to have a system which can utilize the GPS technology such that a unit can be attached to the animal and a mobile phone be used to track the location of that unit. Whats your take on that?
ReplyDeleteYes it is true. However the challenges of such real time solutions are that GPS can only work well in open spaces. So its difficult as animals are bound to move around trees. Another problem is with the power source of the signal transmitters. But as you knw technology people never give up!!
